Garlic Blend Recipes
Slice your favorite European style bread and spread with either olive oil, butter or a combination. Sprinkle Garlic Blend Seasoning on the Bread. (Note Garlic Blend is salted do not overuse) Toast and enjoy! Make garlic croutons by baking till bread is thoroughly toasted.
Bruschetta (Properly pronounced "Brrru-sket-ta" not "Bru-shed-a")
Prepare small rounds of French or Italian Bread slices by spreading with olive oil and Garlic Blend Seasoning. Toast till crispy, do not burn. Chop good quality tomatoes into small cubes. Toss with Olive Oil, balsamic or red wine vinegar, chopped basil, green onions, salt and pepper.
Serve toasted rounds with tomato topping and its dressing, soaked into the crunchy bread.
After sprinkling Garlic Blend Seasoning on bread rounds, lay a thin slice of tomato, a basil leaf, and a thin slice of brick/mozzarella cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes or till bread becomes toasted and cheese melts.
Garlic and Olive Oil Pasta
Season ¼ Olive Oil with ¼ t Garlic Blend Seasoning Toss over ½ lb cooked pasta, serves 2 abundantly. Let sit for several minutes before serving to allow flavors to absorb.
Quick and Easy Chicken Luisa -- Truly an awesome Recipe!
Slice Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts into thin cutlets approximately ½" thick. If desired, pound thin with a mallet. Rinse in water, drain and generously season with Garlic Blend Seasoning. Let sit for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to absorb. Sauté in olive oil and butter over medium to medium low heat, till golden, turning once. A splash of white wine while cooking makes this great dish-Fabulous!
- 4 Chicken Breasts washed and split into ½" cutlets
- 2 T Butter with 2T Olive oil
- 2-3 t Garlic Blend
- 1/4 cup white wine (optional)
Easy Marinara Sauce
Saute ½ chopped, medium onion in olive oil and butter till translucent, over low heat. Add 1 15 oz can of tomato sauce and ¼ can of water. Season with ¼ t Garlic Blend Seasoning and pepper to taste. Simmer for approx 15 minutes till sauce changes color from its original red to a bit more orange in color. Stir frequently, to prevent scorching. If sauce reduces too quickly, add water to bring back to proper consistency.
Cream Tomato Sauce
Prepare Marinara Sauce as above except use 1 medium onion grated, not chopped. Cook over low heat stirring frequently. When sauce has changed color, add 1 small container of Heavy Cream, continuing to stir frequently over low to medium low heat. Sauce should simmer gently but not boil. Cook for approximately 8 minutes continuing to stir to prevent scorching or curdling of sauce. (If by chance your sauce should curdle, (In Italian this is called "Impazire" or to have gone "Crazy" it has not soured, just process in your food processor when cooled a bit, till curdles disappear. Serve this popular sauce with your choice of pasta.
